• It is mandatory to bring your valid driver’s license and credit card. Physical or digital copies are not accepted. Probationary license is not accepted.
• We reserve us the right to cancel the rent if we notice that you don’t know how to drive the car or scooter. Please reserve only if you have experience driving. No exceptions.
• Drivers must be present at the moment of paperwork to receive or return the vehicle.
• LAST MINUTE reservations made to pick up the same day or to pick up in less than 24hrs are currently not accepted. Reservations must be done at least 24hrs prior pick up/delivery time.
• If you are flying to CZM or Cancun the same day as you plan to pick up the vehicle please set the pick up time for at least 2hrs after your arrival to CZM. We'll need your flight number to monitor it.
• The use of our vehicles is limited to Cozumel only. If our vehicles are taken out of Cozumel the authorities will be notified and a charge will be made for all the costs this represent, plus the rental rates.
Online reservation's rates info:
• Online reservations are received through our website only. We don't do or confirm reservations by phone. Our online reservations always have priority over reservations made through a third party. You can verify if you have a reservation with us by contacting us to info@solymarrentals.com
• Rates are for 24hrs.
• Rates include Liability Insurance and tax.
• Fuel is not included. A refill will be required before your return the vehicle.
• Collision Insurance (10% deductible) is not mandatory and has an extra cost per day/vehicle. The price is $20usd for cars and $10usd for scooters.
• Reserve for a minimum of 3-7 days and get a 10% discount, from 8-15 days 15% and from 16-30 days 20%. Discount applies to the rate and insurance costs only.
• You will receive an estimated total cost in the confirmation email, however the percentage of discount and the total final payment is based in the effective days of rent at checkout.
• Marymar rentals is our partner, reserve here and pick up at their location. Vehicle, rate and requirements will be the same.
• Payment of the rent can be done in cash(preferable) or credit/debit card. We don’t accept American Express. The card must be on the driver's name.
• Rates are the same if you pay in cash or if you pay with credit/debit card. For credit/debit payments our bank charges the payment in pesos and it will be calculated with the exchange rate of the day.
• We'll do a pre-authorization for the total amount of the rent + $100usd. For 1 day rentals we may sometimes not do a pre-authorization.
• Credit card payments are always charged at the end of the rent. The pre-authorization will have to be done if your payment will be in credit/debit card.
• Cash payments can be done when you receive the vehicle. You'll sign a voucher and the pre-authorization will be done only in certain cases, i.e. if we are not able to reach you.
General rental information:
• If there is a malfunction with the vehicle it must be reported immediately. Please contact us by call to 9878690545 or if it's not an emergency to info@solymarrentals.com.
• Kids are not allowed to ride scooters. Teenagers are allowed as passengers.
• All our helmets are standard adult size.
• To avoid any misunderstanding, we exhort you to check the vehicle carefully before you leave our location. Yes you can take photos or videos at pick up.
• If you are staying in an Airbnb or private residence please consider to park our vehicle in a secured zone, preferable in the garage of your place.
• It is NOT recommended to leave anything of value inside the vehicle.
• Being under the influence of alcohol, drugs, driving faster than the speed limit and driving on unpaved roads makes you lose all insurance coverage.
• Exceeding the limit of people allowed in the vehicle may cause you to pay traffic tickets.
• We are not respondible for expenses generated by vehicle retention or authorities administrarion fees due to any infraction. Plus the payment of the rent.
• Loss of keys generates an extra payment.
Please consider that the roads to Isla de la Pasión and Cenote Jade are usually in bad condition. We are not responsible for damages and crane costs.
It is not allowed to drive our vehicles in the road of Punta Molas due to its very bad condition. A fee of $300usd will be charged if any of our vehicles gets stuck here. The client will also have to pay for damages and crane costs if this applies plus the amount of the rent.
The roads to San Gervasio and Punta Sur Eco Park are well maintained, these are safe for cars, scooters, bikes. Be careful with the cocodriles (joking).
